Job Summary

Performs data analysis and provides Mission Systems Quality functions data-driven direction and guidance regarding Collins Aerospace quality scorecard metrics and general quality data. As required, must coordinate activities across the Mission Systems’ SBU organizations; particularly Operations and Supply Chain functions.

Job Responsibilities

· Data sets may be large and complex data sets requiring multiple problem-solving techniques

· The ability to research metrics to develop baseline measures and establish goals regarding manufacturing defects, on-time delivery, product acceptance, and customer satisfaction among others

· The ability to set up Excel files to retrieve data from SAP via Excel using the Analysis add-on rather than export from SAP

· The ability to properly execute complex formulas and graphs within Excel (transferring and summarizing data from different tables into one summary table using complex multi-layer Excel formulas to perform these tasks)

· Understand the reports, tables, fields and data points within SAP, and the queries behind the Excel tables

· Enhance the accuracy and capability of queries through communication with e-Business to correct missing data and add key fields to improve process conformance

· Understand and align data sets between the three heritage companies (RC, B/E, UTAS) that are now Collins Aerospace

· The ability to quickly learn and adapt to UTAS heritage tools that we are now required to utilize for data compilation

· Summarize data sets from various locations into SBU break-downs

· The ability to independently make decisions regarding the data seeking little to no direction from others

· The ability to provide guidance and recommendations to the SBU business and teams to support their decision making with the data at hand

· Is self-sufficient and driven to take initiative and ownership of data and metrics

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience

Candidate must have experience with data analytics, demonstrated ability to, based on your data research, provide guidance and recommendations to executive leadership to make business decisions using the data you have analyzed and working knowledge in a minimum of THREE of the following disciplines: Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Information Technology, Lean or Continuous Improvement
