Are you a Software engineer looking for an exciting new challenge? Aeropeople may have just the opportunity for you with our very prestigious client based in Italy?
The Role
In order to support our clients automotive Racing Team for their current and future developments and innovations, we are looking to appoint a Wind Tunnel Software Engineer to join our team at their headquarters.
The successful applicant will become an important member of the Aerodynamics F1 Team, the software engineer will take part in the maintenance and further development of the software to manage and control the Wind Tunnel.
In this position you will play a key-role interfacing with all the other teams operating in the Wind Tunnel, expanding the software infrastructure to support new features, without compromising the integrity and consistency of the core systems. You will oversee collecting and assessing future requests, transforming them into a specification and building the solution, in an environment where robustness, reliability and time delivery is critical and where you have to interface with many different systems, ranging from input electronic devices to processed data visualization and storage systems.
The existing software suite is mature, covering mainly Microsoft Windows environment (.NET Framework, with C# and WPF development) but also Linux-based embedded platforms (with Ansi C development).
Desired Skills and Experience
In order to succeed in this challenging role, we are looking for a graduate profile (Computer Science/Engineering) with strong software development fundamentals; relevant experience gained in a similar role will be positively evaluated, as well as additional skills and knowledge of tools and languages like Real Time Programming, Matlab, LabVIEW and SQL.
In a dynamic, ever changing environment like this, relationships and communicative skills are essential for you to be able to interact with all the different clients of your day by day job; a good knowledge of English language (both spoken and written) is mandatory.
