Job Summary

The ideal candidate will support airborne platforms tactical applications team across multiple programs. You will be a driven individual who is passionate about the aviation industry, striving to challenge and apply your abilities, and desire to work with a team to produce superior quality software.

You will be part of a team that supports the 160th Special Operations Air Regiment customer and similar rotary wing helicopter programs that implement command and control software for complex mission sensor and weapons systems embedded in CAAS helicopter cockpits.

Job Responsibilities

* Modify existing, or create new requirements, implement SW for a real-time embedded processing environment, run functional tests in a laboratory test environment utilizing a combination of; simulations, real hardware, and interfacing subsystems.

* Involvement in a variety of tasks including but not limited to: Software design, software coding,

* software integration, regression testing, formal test execution.

* Perform these assignments in close coordination with other system and software engineers using Collins Aerospace engineering processes.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.

* Must be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. US Citizenship is required.

* Working experience with at least one of the following high level programming languages C, C++, ADA.

* Knowledge and/or experience with scripting language Python or similar programming language.

* Experience in all facets of system development and familiar with common system engineering tools and practices.
