Software Engineer

Position Description:

We’re looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our Atlanta-based Core Technologies team. As a Software Engineer at Telular you will write code for Enterprise-level applications and help manage environments that process millions of transactions a day. You will be responsible for building new products while updating and expanding our existing offerings.
The successful candidate will play a key role in defining the architecture, implementation and development environment of Telular’s IoT platform. Deep knowledge of C#, WCF, RESTful services, SOA, OOD and ASP.NET will be critical to your success in this role, as you will be expected to help propagate .NET Best Practices within the team. Cloud development experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement and support secure cloud-based software services.
• Create, update and maintain automated deployment pipeline.
• Drive improvement of operational efficiency through automation and/or process changes.
• Understand and implement platform services based on functional, technical and user requirements.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to other engineers, and “lead by example” with respect to quality and schedule awareness.

Position Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in .NET/C# based software development.
• Experience with object-oriented development (OOD) and service-oriented architectures (SOA).
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Demonstrable ability to own and deliver projects and results of increasing technical complexity
• Demonstrable ability to analyze problems, diagnose root cause, and apply corrective actions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Additional experiences considered highly beneficial
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Github.
• Experience with JSON/XML.
• Experience in M2M/IoT industry.
• Experience with communication security standards such as TLS.
• Experience with and knowledge of a cloud platform (e.g. Azure, AWS).
• Experience with PaaS and IaaS offerings.
• Experience with Cloud Storage technologies NoSQL or SQL.
• Experience with automated deployment tools like Jenkins and Octopus Deploy.
Experience with IoT connectivity protocols like CoAP, LWM2M and MQTT.
