About the role:

Joining our Digital and Emerging Technology’s team will see you at the forefront of innovation, delivering innovative projects from ideation through to full development. You will be integral to the development of the digital strategy across all aspects of the Virgin Australia business.

We are currently recruiting for a Software Developer – Mobile Solutions (iOS) to design and develop scalable and extensible mobile technology solutions that utilise best practice and leading edge technologies.

Working closely with leaders, specialists, internal stakeholders and other developers you will design and develop software solutions that provide additional value to our guests. Your other responsibilities will include

* designing and developing scalable and extensible mobile technology solutions

* actively engaging with customers to ensure solutions continue to deliver great travel experiences

* Regularly reviewing industry best practice to identify new opportunities for innovative solutions.

About you:

The ideal candidate will require strong experience in iOS mobile applications development. Experience developingwith Swift and Objective-C and tools like Xcode IDE will set you up well to succeed in this position. Other technical experience that would be useful includes:

* Storyboarding and Objective-C blocks

* Fabric or other analytics

* Javascript frameworks (React Native preferred), HTML5, CSS3

* WCAG 2.0 Accessibility standards

* Atlassian Jira and Confluence for agile development

* Software development with RESTful API

* Tools for Continuous Integration (Gitlab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools)

* Proven release to Apple App Store

* GIT and SVN version control

* Test automation

You will also have superior communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
