Sliding Head Machinist - Fareham - Permanent position

We have a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading high-precision component manufacturing firm who manufacturer components for the Aerospace industry. An additional CNC Setter - Sliding Head role has been created due to increased orders on a permanent basis.

Nightshifts and Late shifts available.

The role of CNC Setter - Sliding Head will include the following duties:
* Setting and Operating either Star or Citizen sliding headstock lathes in the manufacture of prototype and small-batch complex components to aerospace standards. Working with stainless steel, titanium, aluminium and special alloys.
* Suitable candidates must be able to use inspection equipment (CMM training will be provided if necessary).

Ideally the CNC Setter - Sliding Head will:
* Have proven experience of setting and operating either Star or Citizen Sliding head lathes to produce small-batch high precision components.
* Be able to demonstrate the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Ideally have an engineering apprenticeship.

Qualifications required:
Craft Apprenticeship
C&G or ONC

Relevant experience
Set and operate Sliding Head Machines
Programming skills would be advantageous
