Marshall Aerospace and Defence are looking to fill a vacancy for an Shipping Administrator who will support the Shipping Coordinator in managing and coordinating the movement of all import, export and domestic movements of supplies, products and aircraft, carrying out all consequential tasks, located at our Cambridge Head Office.

Key Tasks:

•Use knowledge and experience to ensure all documentation is completed in agreement with company procedures and legislative requirements, with all imported and exported goods correctly classified using the appropriate Customs regimes.
•To work with a high degree of accuracy, providing assistance to other departments using HM Revenue and Customs Authorisations in order for Marshall Airport to remain fully compliant to all HMRC regulations regarding import and export.
•Complete all activities relating to the flow of goods to and from the Customs Warehouse punctually ensuring highly efficient time management and prioritisation skills to hit deadlines sometimes working within compressed timescales.
•Have a good understanding of Incoterms, Customs regimes, dangerous goods and aviation security.
•Champion communication, having regular liaison with couriers, freight forwarders and internal departments such as Purchasing, Stores/Despatch, Commercial and Trade Controls.
•To remain current with any changes or amendments to import and export activities that may influence the activities undertaken within day to day role. This knowledge is to be maintained through regular contact with the Shipping Manager and Shipping Coordinator.
•Take an active role in helping to roll out whatever changes or improvements may be implemented, making positive suggestions where appropriate.
•Keep organised, comprehensive and up to date records of shipping paperwork and relating activity in line with the company procedures, including knowledge and experience of administrative duties.
•The successful candidate will take a positive and enthusiastic approach to problem solving and apply a flexible approach to help support the ever-changing business requirements.
