Location: Eastern Germany - Leipzig / Permanent, Full time



Salary: €40,000 - €45,000 pa - Paid through the German tax system.



We are working with a leading Aviation company, who specialise in composite and sheet metal repairs. Owed to continuous success and growth, they now seek a Sheet Metal Worker to join their team in Germany.



Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Detecting damages on components out of metal construction and determining proper repair techniques and materials required.
  • Reading, understanding and using the relevant repair documentation, work orders and drawings.
  • Performing repair work on aircraft sheet metal components.
  • Using test/measurement equipment.
  • Drilling, riveting, sawing, edging, bending, welding as well as doing follow-up work.
  • Quality inspection and technical documentation of the work performed.
  • Care and maintenance of tools.


Qualification & Experience:

  • Completed education as mechanic for sheet metal work or structural mechanic specialized in sheet metal work or similar.
  • Experience carrying out sheet metal repair work in accordance with SRM or CMM.
  • Ability to manage own workload / working on a number of projects at once to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel and a high degree of flexibility with regard to working hours, on-call duty and weekend shifts.
  • Good verbal and written English/technical English.
  • Drivers licence class B.
  • Structural mechanic, plastics technician, laminator or similar with aviation experience.
