Job Role:
The Antennas division or our Marlow, Buckinghamshire based client are looking for an SHE Manager (Safety, Health & Environment) to Proactively support the Aerospace Connectivity BU in delivering the strategy and case for action across the business. The role reports into the Head of Facilities & estates and has one direct report (Coordinator).
Responsibilities:
Has responsibility to apply suitable and sufficient SHE arrangements locally
Ensures proactive management principles and tools (e.g. root cause analysis, cost benefit analysis, carbon foot-printing, LC assessment etc.) are applied locally to Hazard & Risk Management and Environmental Aspects & Impacts, including business continuity planning and emergency management
Ensures that reactive principles are recorded and reported
Monitors SHE performance and ensures internal assurance processes are in place locally
Development, implementation and monitoring of objectives and targets locally to continually improve through the Cobham SHE Management standards
Experience/competencies:
· Demonstrated experience as a SHE manager
· Affiliated to professional bodies
· Has sound knowledge of business environment in which they operate
· NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
· IEMA Associate or equivalent
· Affiliated member of internationally recognised Occupational Safety and Health organisation
· Affiliated member of recognised environmental organisation
· Internal Auditor ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 (ISO45001) - ideal but not essential
This client designs and manufactures active and passive avionics antennas and electronic control systems for military and civil communications, navigation and search and rescue applications. They pioneered frequency agile VHF tuneable antennas and continue to be a key supplier to major avionics companies. They have world leading technology in Ground Penetrating Radar and RF interference mitigation. Both military and civil users rely on their direction finding systems for search and rescue operations. Their Leadership team is open, sharing plans for the next five years, driving retention by offering demanding, exciting work, and providing full guidance and mentoring.
