About The Job

This job is a member of the Environmental OSH Fueling & Deicing Team within the Integrated Operations Division. This position will be responsible for assessing and controlling physical, chemical, biological or environmental hazards present in the workplace, work environment or public space.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

* Performs industrial hygiene surveys

* Conducts analysis of chemicals used in production processes

* Evaluates hygiene reports and makes recommendations to reduce hazards

* Develops and implements safety and health programs

* Chairs Personal Protection Equipment Review Board

* Works closely with the represented employees

* Assists in reviewing, revising and drafting company safety policies

* Ability to travel

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene at an ABIH ABET accredited program ​or equivalent experience/training

* 2 years of industrial hygiene experience

* Solid scientific background with a good working knowledge of organic/inorganic chemistry and engineering concepts

Preferred Qualifications

* Knowledge of OSHA regulations in General Industry

* Knowledge of Industrial Hygiene testing to include air sampling, noise, light and ability to apply knowledge

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

* Ability to wear personal protective equipment, gloves, eye wear, and respiratory as required

* Ability to learn various computer applications and apply knowledge

* Cognitive skills to perform mathematical calculations to analyze results of tests and plot curves

* Ability to manually operate, maintain and trouble-shoot testing and analytical equipment

* Ability to exercise sound judgment in the interpretation of a variety of technical data.

* Ability to organize, schedule, and handle multiple projects concurrently

* Ability to lift and carry sampling equipment to various work locations

* Ability to work with minimum supervision

* Ability to crawl and move in confined spaces

* Ability to distinguish colors, visually read gauges, dials, and instruments

* Ability to read and interpret complex regulations

* Ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis
