Job Description
American Airlines, Inc. has multiple openings for a Senior Quality Assurance Lead to perform the following duties: Responsible for developing and executing software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes. Develop a strong understanding of the application and domain to perform hands-on testing of the services and applications from a technical standpoint. Lead the design, development, implementation, and execution of test scripts/test plans to identify software problems and their causes. Plan and organize testing efforts to build automated test scripts for American Airlines applications in a dynamic environment. Create a scheduled automation to run on a defined frequency and generate auto-generate reports. Develop and update test scripts and test cases with the web application team to ensure the quality and efficiency of the testing. Coordinate and execute all performance and functional testing associated with multiple concurrent development and/or infrastructure projects. Test all scenarios in order to ensure on-time delivery and accuracy of software solutions. Develop releases on multiple platforms to ensure that all code released to production systems meet or exceed pre-defined quality standards. Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations. Monitor the status of defects/enhancements in the change management system and provide updates to the team on a regular basis. Provide demos to business unit for completed functionalities. Create metrics/reports to capture test progress for projects and releases. Proactively identify ways to improve testing processes and techniques.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and/or experience) in computer science, information technology, electronic engineering, or related field, plus 3 years of experience in IT, and demonstrated experience in: Functional, non-functional and database testing; Using Selenium, Load Runner and Java; Sabre Airline Ticketing/Pricing & Fares; Sabre overall Reservations GDS; and HP Quality Center, SoapUI and Qualys.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.
