Responsibilities

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

Responsible to work collaboratively across all Technical Operations Departments to identify operational challenges, define metrics to enable Leadership to develop action plans to improve performance and measure effectiveness of those plans. Serves as mentor to other team members and peers. Performs analysis to monitor and assist in continuous improvement efforts throughout Technical Operations.

* Serves as an analytical thought leader and consultant for departmental performance inquiries
* Assists with the development and distribution of operational data, analysis and reporting to effectively measure departmental efficiency
* Works cross-functionally with all Technical Operations Teams to assist meeting short and long range goals
* Analyzes objectives and processes to align with strategic department needs.
* Analyzes finding and makes recommendations for improved organizational performance
* Provides oversight and guidance for all team deliverables
* Takes ownership for all deliverable within assigned areas of the business
* Works with team members to identify opportunities to aid in the professional growth and development of skills
* Collaborates with Technology in the development of automation of processes as opportunities arise
* Partners with other analytical Teams to enhance analytics and reporting
* Gathers and analyzes data for case studies, ad hoc requests and business insights
* Assists in reporting and measurement of continuous improvement initiatives across Tech Ops
* Identifies drivers of key performance indicators and communicates these with Leaders across the organization
* Serves as lead/owner for one or more segments of the Tech Ops organization

May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986

EDUCATION:

* High School Diploma or GED required
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required

WORK EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum of five years Data aggregation, analysis and reporting experience required
* Minimum of five years data mining, grooming and aggregation from multiple sources required
* Minimum of two years Aviation experience, Southwest experience is a plus
* Minimum of two years Experience with Tableau and Essbase preferred
* Minimum of two years Experience with enterprise databases (e.g. Oracle, Teradata, Sybase) preferred
* Minimum of one year operational performance analytics preferred
* Executive level presentations experience preferred

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

* Able to show poise and confidence in communicating both written and orally
* Able to partner with Tech Ops leaders to develop initiative to improve operational performance
* Ability to recognize value creating opportunities, helping leaders evaluate, prioritize and develop initiatives
* Able to use various methodologies and high level statistical concepts to discover new insights on traditional metrics
* Able to demonstrate expertise in forecasting, root cause analysis and statistical modeling
* Able to distill complex, detailed information into easily understood actionable findings
* Must be able to work well with all levels within the organization
* Must be able to work well under pressure while performing multiple concurrent tasks, with the potential of experiencing interruptions and sometimes short deadlines
* Must be able to perform job function with minimal supervision.
* Must have demonstrated the willingness and ability to adapt as technology and processes change.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
* Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
* Must be able to work extended hours as necessary to meet deadlines and deliverable
* Must be able to travel with occasional overnight stays as required
* Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information.
