Are you a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer seeking a new challenge? If so, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading development company.

This organisation produces a range of high-performance electronic products used within Aerospace, Defence and Telecommunications. Previous experience within the aerospace industry is advantageous however not essential.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

• The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be educated to bachelor degree level
• Proven industry experience with either small, or precision components, for electronic packaging or similar environments, whilst also having designed to close tolerances and understand the effects in real-world production
• Past experience of change control procedures (ECO/ECN systems and Data Management)
• A high level of familiarity with SolidWorks

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

• The successful Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for enhancing the internal design and development procedures whilst mentoring those more junior
• Testing numerous designs and ensuring that they are successfully put into production
• Responsible for working alongside mechanical, thermal, electronic and board layout engineers throughout the stages of development
• A confident problem-solver, both working independently and alongside multi-disciplinary teams to reach the best engineering solutions
• You will be involved with environmental testing whilst having an awareness of thermal management techniques
