Senior Manager, General Aviation Sales & Offer Development, North-West Europe required by a leading Fortune 100 company and recognised leading global supplier of aviation fuel!

Working as part of the Europe, Middle East & Africa General Aviation (GA) Market Development team, the Senior Manager, General Aviation Sales & Offer Development, North-West Europe is responsible for managing existing customer relationships and developing and delivering a sales pipeline of General Aviation opportunities across North-West Europe. The successful candidate will also work with the broader team to develop and deploy the GA Location Offer and Marketing strategies in their region and the wider EMEA geographies of the World Fuel Services business.

The role is accountable for the profit-and-loss performance for the businesses and GA Customer Locations operating under his/her direct sales remit, and supporting the development and implementation of the deals and offers, with a particular focus on bulk fuel and services into FBO’s & Handlers, Flying Clubs & Flying Schools, Airport/Aerodrome/Heliport Site Owners, Emergency Services and Local Authorities.

The primary focus of this role is to increase WFS GA market penetration and drive organic and inorganic growth opportunities across the region.

This position is a customer facing sales and business development position and the successful candidate will be required to spend up to 50% of their time traveling across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

•Sales Excellence & Key Account Management: Develop, negotiate and implement the annual business plan for GA Location sales in his/her geography and support a sales performance culture across the rest of the EMEA team.

•Offer Development & Implementation: Working closely with the GA European Sales Director, develop and tailor GA Location Offers - with specific execution focus on sales excellence, service, menu and tailored solutions.

•Strategic Growth and Business Development: Identify, develop and execute organic and inorganic business opportunities that increase WFS GA market penetration and are accretive to the corporation.

•Operational Excellence: With a focus on sales excellence and offer implementation, develop and execute an operational plan(s) for all key functions supporting delivery in EMEA.

•Organisational Development: Coach, train and support the broader team(s) working to deliver the GA Location Offer.

•External Relationships: Represent company interests with senior representatives of various constituent groups, including customers, airport authorities, suppliers, partners, government regulators, local communities, etc.

 

The Individual

•Field sales and business development experience in either the Aviation or Oil industry is essential.

•Knowledge of the Business and General Aviation sector is highly desirable.

•Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and French are essential.

•Strong negotiation and relationship management skills are essential.

•Strong project management skills are essential.

•Strong team working skills but also the ability to work independently is essential.

•Strong analytical and numerate ability are essential.

•Good familiarity with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc) is essential

•A bachelor degree (BSc or BA) or higher education equivalent is essential.

•Experience in or exposure to marketing and communications is desirable.

•Business management skills, including previous profit and loss responsibility and ability to navigate financial statementsis desirable.

•International sales and business development experience is desirable.

•Experience in or exposure to supply or technical operations within the oil/aviation fuel industry is highly desirable.

•Other European languages in addition to English and French is desirable.
