Senior Manager Benefits/HRIS regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in field within the organization. Develops solutions to complex problems which require ingenuity and innovative ideas. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources. Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives within the assigned position responsibilities.

Develops and/or administers company employee benefits and related training programs. Responsible for keeping abreast of trends and developments in the area of employee benefits and recommending nature and timing of benefit plan improvements. Supervises specialists in benefits and HRIS

Requirements:

• Understands and works within a Service Contract Act (SCA) and multi-union environment with a complex benefit and organizational structure.

• Administers and interprets employee benefit programs to aid accurate and timely receipt of benefits for employees in accordance with program policies, procedures and guidelines.

• Analyzes company needs, and works with vendors and/or programmers to design system specifications.

• Implements and maintains specially designed human resources information systems and related policies and procedures designed to obtain, record, and process employee information.

• Recommends, implements, and plans for improvements, enhancements, and new applications to the system.

• Provides retrieval ability to produce employee information for analysis and decision making, statistical data, and other employee-related reports as required.

• Develops and delivers training programs for the company within assigned area of responsibility.

• Interprets human resources policies and procedures to employees, department directors, administration, etc., as necessary. Keeps administration/department directors informed of changes in human resources policies/procedures, laws, etc.

• Coaches and counsels direct reports regarding the performance expectations of their position. Evaluates job performance of direct reports and provides development guidance to staff for improved performance, and growth, when requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and 10+ years’ progressive experience in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and years of progressive experience in Human Resources

• Minimum 5 years supervising employees.

• Minimum 4 years of direct specialist experience in Benefits development and administration.

• Minimum 4 years SAP (or similar system) experience and knowledge

• Prior US government contracts experience is required

• Considerable prior SCA experience is required

• Prior experience in an International organization is required

• Prior experience in Aerospace industry related to aircraft maintenance, repairs and modifications is desired

The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview. Some travel will be required.
