Our client who are based in the UK require an experienced Leading Hand for a permanent position

 

As Senior Leading Hand your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Previous experience within an aircraft maintenance organisation.
  • Previous managerial/supervisory experience
  • Health and Safety awareness. British Safety Council level 1.

 

As Senior Leading Hand your main responsibilities will involve:

·        Supervising and ensuring all aircraft work requested to be completed is done to a high standard, adhering to specified timescales.

·        Maintaining proper authority in order to supervise and sign-off work being completed at Fitter level

·        Reviewing and Signing-off accurate and comprehensive documentation for all aircraft work completed, ensuring that appropriate ‘open entries’ are annotated on the documentation.

·        Ensuring that all work is done efficiently with reference to all approved technical data.

·        Notifying the Charge Hand of any discrepancy within the approved technical data or maintenance procedure.

·        Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.

·        Using the tool control system correctly.

·        Ensuring engineering standards and practices are maintained and that flight safety regulations are properly observed.

·        Setting a positive example and harbouring harmonious working relationships within the organisation

·        Supporting technical, safety and other investigations when requested.

·        Supporting implementation of remedial action from investigations.

·        Contributing to business improvements initiatives.

·        Other tasks as directed by the Mechanical Charge Hand.
