Job description

Including but not limited to:

• Act as advisory to base leadership on all employee relations issues and HR-related policy and procedure interpretation

• Ensure structured, local HR in accordance with Norwegian Group guidelines and procedures as well as local CBA’s

• Personnel administration, hereunder employee relations including assessment of and managing absence, disciplinary, grievances and sickness, contracts etc

• Provide local payroll with required information, and insure the quality hereof

• Manage/participate in recruitment/recruitment activities

• Provide ongoing support to leadership with employee relations, counseling, employee development and corrective action issues. Provides guidance to managers in preparing performance improvement plans, disciplinary action, and separations

• Ensure compliance between Norwegian regulations and local CBA

• Establish relationships with both Crewleaders and Crewmembers in the operation, fostering partnerships to increase awareness of People initiatives in the business

• Support managers in relevant key initiatives such as e.g. performance management process, employee surveys, succession planning and employee involvement initiatives. Monitors consistency and quality of initiatives and assists with any questions

• Assist the HR Manager in the design and implementation of personnel policies and procedures and effectively communicates and employs these policies and procedures at the base. Communication may include developing and facilitating training sessions

• Serve as a first line of contact for any crew relations-related inquiries, assist the Crewmember by contacting the appropriate department if necessary

• Participate in developing departmental/functional goals, objectives and systems. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department/function and services performed

• Frequently communicate with all other HR colleagues with responsibility towards flight crew to provide consistency in HR practices across all areas.

• Analyze various HR metrics and developing reports to present findings to HR Management

• Attend Norwegian Group HR meetings when required, including collaboration with Group HR and other local and international HR representatives to ensure a Norwegian Group approach to HR work

• Responsible for contribution to Norwegian Group HR development at a local level

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Conflict Resolution or Organizational Psychology or four (4) years of related work experience

• High-level knowledge to local employment law

• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite

• Effective written, verbal and presentation skills

• Business and solution oriented

• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy

• Attention to detail however also the ability to think strategically

• Strong research, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

• Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment

• Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and work well independently

• Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

• A strong understanding of and commitment to the Norwegian Group values and culture
