As a Senior Finance and Reporting Analyst, Australia you will be part of the Australian Finance Team providing financial support, insightful analysis and commentary to influence key business plans and objectives for the Australian Sales region. This is a 10 month fixed term contract- hit the ground running and make an impact! Reporting to the Finance Manager Australia, and performing as a valued business partner, you will be combining your analytical skills with your financial insights to shape the way we operate. Help contribute to the performance of Air New Zealand through the provision of sound commercial advice, analytical support, and strategic analysis to support business decisions. In this position you will be responsible for: * Australian Sales and marketing reporting and performance analysis * Month end processes and reporting, including dashboards and commentaries used to drive business performance * Revenue and cost of sales variance analysis * Budgeting and forecasting * Supporting the sales team with annual contract negotiation * Ad hoc projects and analytical support to sales Ideally having experience in a large complex commercial environment, you will be able to display organisational agility along with the ability to understand the broader business implications of financial and commercial decisions. You will be a strong communicator, both written and oral, and enjoy interacting with people across a broad spectrum of the organisation and with external customers. Tertiary qualified, you will preferably be CA qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification. You will have a proven experience and the ability to navigate new business intelligence tools. With proven experience dealing with large data sets you will be comfortable creating and working with detailed models that leverage your advanced Excel skills. You enjoy building and following complex processes and have a continuous improvements mind-set - you can identify new efficiencies, make sound recommendations and implement these swiftly and precisely. You get real satisfaction from getting things right first time and are very conscious of data integrity. Your keen eye for detail and business nous enables you to spot trends.
