Lead a team that develops the most advanced military avionics in the world! The Strategic Integrated Solutions department is seeking an innovative, fun spirited, challenge driven, morale boosting leader to join our leadership team.

Job Responsibilities

This Senior Engineering Manager will lead a team of systems and software engineers in the design, development, verification, and planning of display applications for airborne flight deck platforms within Collins Mission Systems Strategic portfolio. This team is responsible for the development of Flight Display Software and Engine Indication and Crew Alerting software.

The successful candidate must be able to apply their technical expertise to train and coach their team members to achieve program and department goals. Focus for the candidate will be on employee development (coaching, mentoring and career development), talent acquisition/retention, performance management, process compliance, resource management, and strategic support of the business. This leader should be highly motivated, have a passion for meeting customer commitments, and flexibility while working in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Basic Qualifications

In order to serve in this role, the successful candidate must have knowledge or experience in the following areas:

* Leading a team in defining requirements, developing software architecture and design, and performing software verification.

* Direct experience in the embedded software development lifecycle (DOORs, Python, MBD, C and/or Ada)

* Leading a team in performing software development while adhering to a rigorous formal development process, such as DO-178B.

* Project planning and performance of project cost, schedule, and scope management.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills that can be used to support bid and proposal activities, to interface with both internal and external customers, and collaborate with program management and senior management across all business areas within Collins Mission Systems.

* Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain an active DOD security clearance.

Preferred requirements:

* Experience in ProLine Fusion FDSA and EICAS domains

* Experience as a CAM, IPT Lead or Product Owner

* Proven history of creating positive team cultures, strong program schedule execution performance and positive program cost performance

* Experience developing in the Agile framework
