We have an opportunity for a Senior Computer Analyst (SCA) to support our Information Assurance ISEO team in San Diego, CA. This position will advise and perform security for high-availability, high profile domains across the United States for the US Navy. Be a part of the Navy Flight Simulation team! Primary Duties and Responsibilities This is a key position on the team and will require the ability to provide technical guidance and leadership in multiple areas of expertise. * Provides team leadership to ensure security of advanced, multi-layered, computer networks used on large scale aircraft flight training devices * Plans and maintains an effective schedule of system scans followed by analysis and mitigation of vulnerabilities via upgrades to operating systems, virus definitions, and vendor applications, ensuring the devices maintain their operational accreditation, with minimal impact on the user’s training schedules or fidelity of the training * Diagnoses and resolves any network problems resulting from installation of upgrades, implementing corrective changes as needed * This position may require shift work when needed and minimal travel (roughly 2 weeks/year) * Interpret requirements, prepare system specifications, and resolve design issues Education and Experience Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related field of study is required * A minimum of 3 years of experience in the acquisition, design or testing of military systems is required * Minimum of an IAT-I certification e.g., CompTIA A+ CE; Network + CE; SSCP; CCNA-Security * Demonstrated knowledge of systems and software engineering and the ability to design and troubleshoot complex systems * Ability to analyze data and to draw conclusions and utilize mathematical modeling and statistical methods * Desired candidate will be knowledgeable of a wide range of non‑engineering, non‑scientific information in the form of Federal Acquisition Regulations, Military Standards, DoD/DoN/NAVAIR policies, directives, and instructions and must be able to determine the applicability of these documents to assignments * Basic but broad knowledge of current and future military equipment, systems, and associated tactics (U.S., allied, and threat nations) preferred Security Clearance * This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
