Senior Commercial Analyst Closing 15 Jun 2018 23:55 Join the Air New Zealand Commercial Team as a Senior Commercial Analyst and contribute to the performance of the airline through the ownership of reporting, pricing applications, analytical support and the provision of sound commercial advice. As the Senior Commercial Analyst you will be accountable for: * Leading a change in the design and management of reporting to support decision making within commercial team * Define future presentation/delivery style of reporting * Define/produce/ maintain/ set of commercial reports covering * Financial reporting * RM KPI reporting * Reports to support analysts managing markets * Shared use reports for commercial and sales * Provide support to team on best practice use of key data visualisation tools & co-ordinate/ deliver regular reporting training to team * Ownership of Pricing & Revenue Management (RM) applications, practices and methods * Development and enhancement of applications * Provision of support and training for end users * Leading and/or contributing to commercial initiatives that provide customer value and revenue A key part of the role will be centralising reports that are of universal value to the commercial team, ensuring consistency and "single source of truth" for all parts of the business that rely on that data for critical decision making and reporting. You will be recognised as an expert on commercial and competitive analysis, analytical tools, forecasting and optimisation methods. Tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline - ideally in Operations Research or areas such as Mathematics, Statistics and Economics is required. You will have a proven 3-4 years of commercial experience and you will likely come from a background where commercial analysis, revenue management and pricing are key focuses. Outstanding graduates will also be considered. You will be a strong communicator, and will have a consultative approach to relationship building whilst having confidence to provide advice to senior stakeholders across the business. Your ability to work in an ever changing environment and dealing with ambiguity is what sets you apart from the rest.
