Senior Buyer from a mechanical background for buying department within mechanical and mouldings background for major aerospace company based Marlow

You will be used to managing time and priorities, business operations, systems and processes as well as Production Finance Control and Lifecycle, Cost and Contract Management. You will be used to Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management and be expert in Supply Chain Definition and MRP.

Senior Buyer responsibilities
· Manage the end-to-end supply chain relationships with a specified group of vendors
· Manage sourcing and tendering processes
· Review material demand requirements
· Analyse and process supplier notifications
· Lead supplier negotiations
· Data owner for all supply master data
· Monitor delivery status of scheduled receipts
· Research vendors and develop new and alternative sources of supply
· Derive and execute Vendor reduction strategy
· Continually monitor, evaluate and report on the performance of suppliers
· Manage day to day procurement activities including internal and vendor communications

Qualifications for Senior Buyer
· Supply chain organisation experience
· Experience as a buyer within a manufacturing company
· Degree in business, operations, supply chain, or related field
· Supplier relationship management
· Technical knowledge of Mechanical commodity
· CIPS certification desirable
