Job Description
The Business Technology Analyst/Senior Business Technology Analyst for Crew Technologies – Flight Attendant Vendor Systems is responsible for the identification, documentation, management and communication of scope and requirements for multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Applicants for this job posting will be considered for the Business Technology Analyst//Senior Business Technology Analyst position in Crew Technologies. To qualify for this role, a minimum of 4 years work experience as an IT Business Analyst focused on airline crew systems or flight operations systems is desired. In addition, qualified candidates should have a general understanding of SDLC (or DPaCE) or Agile project management methodologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Depending on assignment, the successful candidate may be responsible for any or all of the following:
- Gather, generate, and document requirements through interviewing and facilitation
- Collect and author meeting minutes
- Interact as necessary with management to help set project direction and determine project priorities
- Act as a business subject matter expert in either Crew Scheduling or Crew Planning
- Track and resolve project issues
- Assist with User Assurance Testing and implementation
- Write user guides
- 24 x 7 x 365 on-call application support may be required at various times
- Some travel domestically and internationally may be required
- Work under minimal supervision
- Help estimate and work within project schedules and budgets
- Work collaboratively with customer and user groups, project managers, technical leads, developers, architects, and external project teams
- Track progress and provide project status reports according to the information needs of the stakeholders including, at times, executive level staff
- Define scope, capture requirements
Job Qualifications
Knowledge:
- Analysis techniques such as requirements gathering and use case development
- Strong computer skills and a broad understanding of IT
- General understanding of SDLC, DPaCE or Agile methodologies
- Experience in gathering and documenting complex system requirements, technical specifications, and developing detailed system diagrams is preferred
- Broad understanding of crew operations or flight operations processes is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with FOS, CATS, and/or AOS PBS is helpful
- Experience delivering vendor applications is a plus
