Job Description

Applies Object Oriented Analysis and Design methodologies to create and enhance prototype Java applications that support Material Planning for Aircraft Maintenance. These tools include data extraction and processing, web and desktop applications and business process automation. This position interacts with members of the Material Planning organization to understand current business processes and identify opportunities to address business challenges through software solutions.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems preferred
• Proficient with Java EE development with a solid understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, including software design patterns
• Proficient with SQL DDL and DML across multiple database platforms, including SQL Server, Teradata and Oracle
• Experience in developing Java desktop applications, ideally using the Eclipse Rich Client Platform.
• Solid understanding of JDBC, JPA and Hibernate
• Familiarity with Apache POI library to manipulate Microsoft Office documents and iText or other Java Library to read PDF documents
• Ability to process XML using SAX and JAXB
• Understanding of Java Web Services (JAX-WS and JAX-RS)
• Experience in developing web applications using the Spring Framework, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, JQuery and Angular
