Key Accountabilities

The Senior Advisor, HR Systems has the primary responsibility for maintaining the Human Resource Information Systems (i.e. Oracle, Kronos) as well as managing the implementation of software upgrades ensuring system integrity. The Senior Advisor will train staff on databases and acts as the primary contact for end-user questions related to systems. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining human resources related reports and responding to a variety of data requests from across the organization as well as resolving system processing issues and identify process enhancements required to improve operational efficiencies.

* Responsible for problem solving of various scopes where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors; exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action; may recommend changes to existing procedures and practices based on analysis of data

* Designs and prepares reports for employee data contained in the HRIS in response to requests from users within Human Resources and from users in other departments. Ensures data integrity and follows quality control measures for data accuracy

* Resolves HRIS and Time and Attendance System issues; acts as “troubleshooter” for HRIS. Works with IT, Payroll, vendors and others in setting up tables and defining data fields to insure proper reporting of data; Interact with IT staff in order to resolve HRIS issues as well as support upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned

* Develops training and documentation of system use for HRIS users

Qualifications

* Must have a college diploma or certificate in a related field

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of HR System Development and/or HRIS analyst experience

* Experience with a full range of HR processes and applications (Recruiting, Benefits, Payroll, Reporting) preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Knowledge and/or understanding of HRIS and Time and Attendance procedures

* Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement, tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature

* Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing

* Ability to apply time management skills to prioritize and complete assignments within demanding work schedules

* Strong technical skills to research, compile and analyze information as well as investigate and resolve issues

* Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team

* Advanced proficiency in excel required (i.e. functionality such as v-lookups and pivot tables);

* Computer skills – knowledge of Kronos, Oracle and advanced knowledge of Excel and Word.
