Position Purpose

The incumbent is responsible for delivering high quality security policy documentation and the development of security awareness information for airport stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

Security Documentation

* Evaluate security policy and legislation to ensure any changes are reflected in security documentation and awareness material.

* Develop and manage security programs to ensure compliance including, but not limited to:

* Transport Security Program (TSP)

* Aviation Industry Participant Security Guide

* Airside Facility Operator Security & Access Control Program

* Sterile Area Tenant Security Access Control & Tools of Trade Program

* Cash in Transit Security Program

* Visitor Agent Agreements

* Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) Program

* Develop and manage the Security Standards and Practices Manual to ensure compliance including, but not limited to, the following areas:

* Physical Security

* Electronic Security

* Access Control

* Protective Services

* ID & Card Management

* Screening Services

* Security Management Systems

* Security Administration.

* Prepare security reports as directed by the Manager Security Policy.

Risk Advice

* Participate in routine risk assessment working groups and work with other security managers to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of airport security.

* Develop and document policies and communications material for new security initiatives, projects and policy changes.

Security Awareness, Communications and Training

* With the broader security awareness strategy, develop and maintain security awareness and regulatory compliance awareness programs for a range of airport stakeholders including, but not limited, to:

* Sydney Airport staff

* Sydney Airport contractors

* Sydney Airport tenants

* Airlines and Ground Handlers

* Cash in Transit Companies

* VIC Issuing Agents

* Government agencies

* Other airport stakeholders, as required.

* Develop a program of security awareness material and deliver awareness sessions to Sydney Airport staff and stakeholders.

* Develop content for the Security Awareness Guide and other communication materials, including but not limited to:

* Operational Instructions

* Airport Bulletins

* Security Advice

* Sydney Airport website/app

* Other communication materials, as required.

Emergency and Contingency Planning

* Undertake duties, on an as required basis, to support exercises and real events occurring under the Airport Emergency Plan.

Other Duties

* Undertake other duties, on an as required basis, at the direction of the Security Management team.

Qualifications & Knowledge

Required

Desired

* Hold tertiary qualification or have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in security services, management or related discipline

* Ability to hold an ASIC

* Knowledge of ISO 31000 Risk Management Standard

* Knowledge of aviation security legislation standards, policy and procedures

* Knowledge of terminal, airport and airline operations.

* Membership in a relevant security body
