In your role, you will:

- Manage a team of engineers that is responsible to review and approve engineering drawings, evaluate products changes (DCP/PCR), evaluate non-conformant conditions for production and in-service aircraft (RNC and RERSA), evaluate in-service repairs (REO), prepare flammability reports, prepare weights reports and support all requests relevant to the team’s responsibilities.
- Ensure the team is aligned with business priorities.
- Ensure deliverables are conform to the standards, including Bombardier Engineering System (BES) and Bombardier Manuals (BM).
- Review and approve some of your team’s deliverables.
- Interact efficiently with other engineering teams and teams outside engineering.
- Set team and individual performance indicators, evaluate employees’ performance and manage training needs.
- Encourage continuous improvement.
- Promote a performant, respectful and inclusive workplace environment.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You must have a science, aerospace or engineering degree.
- You must have five years’ experience in materials & processes and/or mass properties engineering. Management experience is an asset.
- You have a good knowledge of manufacturing, assembly and installation processes for aircraft structures, systems and interiors.
- You are good planning, organization and team management ability and interest.
- You have good communication skills, engagement and accountability, while being autonomous in a context where partner/supplier’s pressure is sometimes high.
