An exciting opportunity now exists in Sri Lanka for an experienced Sales Executive to join one of the world’s best airlines with its headquarters based in Hong Kong.

The Sales Executive will work very closely with the Assistant Sales & Marketing Manager in achieving targets which includes managing a portfolio of travel agents and corporates in Sri Lanka. The key objective is to grow existing business and explore new opportunities in order to maximize revenue and yield.

The Sales Executive must have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets. He/she must be able to demonstrate strong problem solving skills and flexibility, be action oriented and possess the ability to work with limited resources to achieve the company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement strategies to achieve individual and territory targets by maximizing revenue and yield. Targets include individual and territory targets for Total Revenue, Destination-specific revenue and Front End Revenue.

* Manage a portfolio of trade and corporate accounts in Colombo and outstation through daily systematically planned sales visits. Ensure a healthy balance of contribution from agents while growing the portfolio.

* Conduct periodic reviews of travel agent and corporate performance within the portfolio clearly evaluating performance and highlighting opportunities for improvement.

* Prepare weekly in depth market analysis reports. Independently track, monitor & analyze market / competition data. Independently propose and implement sales actions in order to meet and exceed individual / territory targets. Also responsible to obtain and monitor competitor activity in line with the company’s antitrust policy.

* Develop new business by establishing new corporate agreements, growing traffic to new destinations and collaborating with partners to establish new segments and traffic flows.

* Responsible for growing the base of loyal customers on CX including establishing and maintaining a direct relationship with top tier members and corporate customers.

Requirements:

* A minimum of 3 to 5 years in-depth experience in an airline or travel related field.

* Fluent in spoken and written English. Knowledge of Sinhala and/or Tamil will be an advantage.

* Fluent in Microsoft Office.

* Good planning and organizing as well as tested analytical skills are essential.

* Strong interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills are mandatory.

* Candidates MUST have the legal right to live and work in Sri Lanka.
