Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the newly formed Cork Airport Operations, Safety Team (Airside Safety & Occupational Health and Safety combined) ensuring the highest level of safety and compliance at Cork Airport and to develop training procedures and processes for airport staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications

* Proven track record in delivering safety & operational aviation related training
* Methodical, analytical and focused approach to work procedures
* A self-starter with proven ability to work to deadlines, achieve high standards and work on own initiative
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent IT skills particularly in Microsoft Excel, Document control, Project Management tools and the Microsoft Office suite to develop & deliver highest quality training & operations presentations
* Proven ability to develop and deliver high quality presentations to both internal & external stakeholders
* Strong team player with effective stakeholder management skills
* Third level qualification in Safety Management is desirable
* Committed to daa values

Responsibilities

* Scheduling and delivery of safety / operations training programmes
* Analysis and production of statistical safety data and trend identification
* Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification
* Occurrence and incident investigation and reporting
* Safety promotion across Cork Airport Campus
* Assist in the development & roll out of Construction regulations and HIRA.
* Facilitate and develop a Cork Airport Operations & Safety Newsletter for staff & stakeholders
* Operations Library/AOM Document Controller
* Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time to support the Operations & Safety team
* Design and develop training programmes
* Delivery of Training to employees, stakeholders and contractors
* Work to continuously improve the safety culture at Cork Airport
* Support the Safety team in the implementation of health & safety initiatives
* Analysis of safety data to facilitate trend and prepare safety reports
* Conduct contractor work site safety visits
* Support the implementation of H&S action plans
* Develop and review workplace safety procedures
* Promote the CAP Safety Statement and Safety Management System
* Operations Library/AOM Document Controller
* collection, review and investigation of incident reports near miss data to prevent reoccurrence (or something along the lines of incident investigation)
