Safety & Compliance Auditor
(based in Luton)
Purpose of the position:
The Safety & Compliance Auditor is responsible for conducting internal and external safety and compliance audits/inspections within operational areas and contributes to the efficient operations of the safety and compliant management systems of Wizz Air UK.
Responsibilities:
In relation to the corporate SMS:
* Facilitates hazard identification, risk analysis and management
* Monitors the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks, as listed in the safety action plan
* Provides periodic reports on safety performance
* Contribute to the maintenance of safety management documentation
* Ensures that there is safety management training available and that it meets acceptable standards
* Provides advice on safety matters; and
* Ensures initiation and follow-up of internal occurrence/accident investigations
* Analyzing trends and issuing safety recommendations
* Managing safety projects and risk mitigation of safety issues (hazards) assigned;
* Contributing to safety bulletins, weekly safety reports and other safety communications;
* Performing safety and compliance trainings for flight- and cabin operations personnel;
* Taking part in development and execution of Wizz Air UK ERP
In relation to the corporate CMS:
* Contribute to the development of the compliance audit and inspection plans for Flight Operations, Ground Operation, Cabin Operations and Organization
* Monitors subcontracted activities within Flight Operations, Ground Operation, Cabin Operations for compliance
* Organizes and performs internal and external compliance audits and inspections
* Monitors timely closure of corrective and preventive actions generated by audits and inspections
* Remain independent in all circumstances
* Develops reports in relations to safety & compliance for SAG and Council Meetings
* Executing full scale supplier (organizational) audits, audit reporting and follow-up;
* Participating in internal and external safety / compliance related cross-functional projects;
Requirements:
* University or College degree
* Aviation regulations
* Knowledge of Safety and Compliance Management Systems
* Fluent English, other language is and advantage
* Advanced Computer user skills (knowledge of AIMS, SAMS, Q5 systems is and advantage)
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in aviation operations environment
* Minimum 1 year experience in auditing
* Flexibility for travelling
* Valid EASA SMS and Auditor training qualifications are an advantage
