Safety Analyst to SAS Group Corporate Safety

The SAS Group Corporate Safety function is part of the SAS Group Organization and is responsible for developing and administrating the safety management and reporting system across our group. SAS Group Corporate Safety shall be the natural focus point and driving force, assisting all Line Organizations in their effort to continuously improve the

SAS Safety Management System.

We are now looking for a talented Safety analyst, based at our offices in Frösundavik, Stockholm. The position as Safety analyst is a role with responsibility for coordination and analysis of occurrence and hazard reports and therefore has a direct influence on the safety of our operations.

The main areas of responsibilities

Due to the fact that some duties and responsibilities are cross functional, it is the responsibility of the Head of SAS Group Corporate Safety to allocate tasks to the function having the best possibilities to solve the issue or contribute to a solution regardless if the tasks are listed below or not.

Therefore, this function includes but is not limited to:

To achieve a best practise “Safety Management System”, this includes

* A comprehensive corporate approach to safety,

* An effective organization for delivering safety, and

* The necessary systems to achieve safety oversight.

* Transmit achieved safety information to all those involved in the relevant activities.

* Communicate lessons learned

Facilitate hazard identification, risk analysis and management in:

* Safety Action Group

Process safety data from available safety oversight systems such as;

* Flight data monitoring,

* Maintenance data.

* Occurrence reports

* Safety & compliance audits

* Line check monitoring

* Cabin safety monitoring

* Investigations

* Other available safety data

The main tasks

OCCURRENCE REPORT HANDLING

* Coordinate occurrence reports within the Safety management System.

* Define, maintain and continuously improve the occurrence reporting handling process.

* Ensure mandatory and timely reporting to Scandinavian CAA’s and other relevant authorities.

* Coordinate and liaise with internal and external parties concerned.

* Perform safety analysis.

ACCIDENT AND SERIOUS INCIDENTS REPORTS

* In coordination with Head of Safety Office ensure that information is compiled and that applicable reporting form is sent to the relevant accident investigation authorities

MISCELLANEOUS

* In coordination with Head of SAS Group Corporate Safety responsible for developing info, recommendations and propose corrective actions.

* Participate in projects as decided by the Head of SAS Group Corporate Safety and coordinate the output within Safety Office and other units within SAS and SAS Group.

Qualifications and Experiences

* Good knowledge of SAS Airline Operations

* Good knowledge of civil aviation regulations

* Knowledge of Safety Management systems and procedures and a willingness to develop skills in this area.

* Very good command of English and Scandinavian-spoken as well as written

* Very good knowledge of IS/IT in aviation reporting systems

* Proven flying crew, engineering, ground or relevant background.

* P145 or CAMO experience beneficial.

* Safety Management experience beneficial

* Solid, documented, preferably recent, operational experience within the airline industry

Personal qualities and competences

* High level of personal integrity and loyalty

* Goal oriented with good ability to prioritize

* Analytical skills as well as diplomacy and social competence

* Ability to work in - and lead a Team

* Trustworthy with ability to create cooperation among stakeholders

* Results-driven, logical and methodical approach to achieving tasks and objectives
