Job Role:

An opportunity has become available for a dedicated Reliability Engineer to join an expanding European Operator with a growing site in the UK. The organisation specialises in aircraft supply chain. Reporting to the Technical Director you will join a small team of Engineers responsible for:

  • Monitoring of system and component reliability on all aircraft parts
  • Review of service bulletins and component bulletins and comment on behalf of the reliability department.
  • Recommend specific minimum company modification standards for components that are likely to cause in-service problems.
  • Liaise with aircraft and equipment manufacturers to develop modifications to equipment that have given reliability or operational problems with a view to improving reliability or replacing with improved hardware.
  • Assist in the production of reliability reports, attendance at reliability meetings, production of specific component reports.
  • Review of strip reports to identify trends and confirm correct repair activity.
  • Identify potential warranty claims relating to low cycle removal or poor previous repair workmanship based on strip report findings and report to senior staff.


Skills and attributes:

  • Highly organised and able to liaise at a moderate technical level with staff of all levels.
  • A basic understanding of aircraft and their systems is necessary and previous experience within a reliability department would be an advantage, however, candidates with academic engineering qualifications or equivalent would also be acceptable.
  • Ability to manage time and follow task prioritise set by senior department staff.
  • Must be computer literate and familiar with the basic functions of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to write clear reports is required.
