Job Purpose:

The Reliability Analyst is responsible for the collection, development, analysis of maintenance data and production of daily, weekly monthly and long term Maintenance Performance Surveillance Reports. Supports the Fleet Support Coordinator to identify and implement solutions to chronic aircraft reliability issues. Liaise directly with equipment Manufacturers, Repair and Overhaul Vendors, other Embraer aircraft operators, as well as with our airline partners.

Job Qualifications:

Required:

* Possess Bachelor’s Degree; or High School Diploma and an A&P license

* Experience in Air Carrier Reliability and Performance Management in a part 121 air carrier.

* Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Access.

* Advanced oral communication skills to present technical reports to (small - medium sized) groups of internal and external customers

Preferred:

*

Knowledge of Transport Category US Airline (14 CFR 121) Maintenance and Inspection reporting and documentation requirements

*

Knowledge and understanding of all CFRs and guidance material related to:

*

Airline Technical Operations (including Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Inspection, Planning, Materials)

*

Repair Station activities

*

Air Carrier Reliability (including AC 120-79)

Physical Demands:

*

Ability to lift, carry and move light to medium weight of 10 – 30 pounds.

*

There are prolonged periods during which individuals are working seated at a desk with their computer.

*

Ability to climb ladders and stairs in order to access aircraft when in the hangar.

Language Skills:

*

Must have very competent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to read and write fluently in the English language.

*

Competent (Advanced) oral communication skills for the Presentation of technical reports to (small - medium sized) groups of internal and external customers

Job Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

*

Strong MS Excel (including pivot tables, charting and graphing capabilities) spreadsheet and Access (or similar) database skills, and proficient with other MS Office Suite products and Adobe Acrobat.

*

Research, gain knowledge, and make analysis independently

*

Verify data and develop collection technique improvements with other analysts and raise both efficiency and productivity levels while maintaining the required redundancies of a small but critical group.

*

Possess exceptional Analytical and Statistical skills and be detail oriented.

*

A strong desire to solve complex problems using analytical skills and statistical data.

Job Specifics:

*

Work with the Fleet Support Coordinator to identify and implement solutions to aircraft reliability issues.

*

Conduct and coordinate the daily review of computerized maintenance data and analyze the performance of all aircraft types / components to alert Technical Operations Management of adverse trends.

*

Report all Safety / Critical Failure Events and Chronic Discrepancies to the Technical Operations Division (internally) and the FAA (externally).

*

Produce, manage, maintain and present:

* Required monthly reports to distribute to the FAA, manufacturers, and Compass Leadership

* Monthly Maintenance Performance meetings

*

Work closely with manufacturers, not only regarding product reliability, but also with standardization of reliability reporting formats and data fields.

*

Reviews and revises existing documentation (processes) for consistency and accuracy based on current best practices.

*

Perform and document projects and activities for the Reliability Department as assigned.

*

Maintain a working knowledge of requirements associated with Aircraft Maintenance Performance (Reliability) to include:

*

Standards and Regulations (CFR)

*

FAA Advisory Circulars regarding Maintenance and Performance Reliability

(e.g. AC 120-79A)

*

Part 121 Transport Category Aircraft Maintenance and Repair procedures

*

Aircraft maintenance manuals, component maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, service bulletins, and other maintenance and operations publications

*

ATA Spec 100 coding for aircraft systems, subsystems, and components

*

Federal Aviation Regulations [Title 14 CFR Parts 21, 26, 39, 43, 91, 121 and 145], DOT, and other government regulatory requirements and guidance

*

Air Transportation Oversight System (ATOS) Performance Assessments, IATA Operational Safety Audits (IOSA), and Department of Defense (DOD) Audits

*

Company and Industry (Best Practices)

*

Company processes and procedures from Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) and other Compass Airlines manuals.

*

Industry Standards and Procedures used in aircraft MSG-3 based aircraft maintenance programs.

*

Other duties as assigned.
