Description

Reporting to the Regional Vice-President, North Asia. The incumbent will be responsible for the management, operation and development of all aspects under IATAs FDS agenda. The Regional Director will assume a key role in ensuring adequate intelligence gathering for ISS customer requirement, and is responsible for the regional delivery of the FDS Transformation endeavors and FDS products portfolio.

Responsibilities

*

Support the Country Managers in the delivery of the FDS (Industry Distribution and Financial Services) priorities;

*

Guarantee in conjunction with the GDC Director the management of all Global delivery Center ISS (IATA Settlement System) operations (BSP and CASS), and influence the industry locally to adopt ISS risk management best practice aligned with the voice of the voice of the customer;

*

Manage external stakeholders across the passenger value chain and cargo supply chain (including agents, forwarders, airlines, airports, associations, suppliers) and across the region;

*

Ensure delivery of FDS regional targets and priorities against global FDS and IATA Board targets;

*

Enhance existing services and develop new, high quality, market-driven products and services which will improve financial performance;

*

Provide senior FDS management with financial analysis and information for key business decisions and long term strategies; including reporting monthly financial performance and measuring results against goals;

*

Work with the Regional Leadership Team (RLT) and contribute towards IATA success in the region across all divisions.

*

Participate in building and maintaining a proactive and coordinated approach to relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure the region is following best practices in account management; and

*

Lead, motivate and coach a team of professionals and develop capabilities through effective talent management, recruitment and succession planning.

Qualifications and Skills

1.

University degree and preferably a postgraduate degree or MBA.

2.

At least 15 years of professional experience with at least 8 years in a management role in a similar position.

3.

Demonstrated experience and success in people management, with a focus on driving virtual teams to perform.

4.

A proven team player with a strong positive attitude, energy, and a communicative nature.

5.

Comfortable operating under pressure, driving several projects at a time, and delivering to tight deadlines.

6.

Excellent communication, presentation skills in English; other languages an advantage.

7.

Interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with people of all cultures and levels.

8.

Ability to work in partnership.

9.

Availability to travel.
