Job Role:

Quality Inspector / Engineer required to work on a 6 month temporary assignment in Faversham, Kent. As a Quality Inspector / Engineer you will be specifically targeted with improving the quality of an ongoing current project.

This company work for the biggest Aerospace and Defence manufacturers and OEMS supplying various mechanical parts. Coming from a mechanical background you will be involved with a wide variety of tasks ranging from inspection of components, raising FAIRS as well as identifying areas for improvement from a quality engineering aspect. Previous experience of working to and within AS9100 and AS9102 is essential for this role.

Quality Inspector / Engineer Requirements:

  • Experience of working within the Aerospace industry is essential as well as working with AS9100 / AS9102
  • As a Quality Engineer / Inspector you should have a recognised apprenticeship or have the relevant industry qualifications to undertake this role
  • Previous experience of working with traditional inspection tools is essential, in addition to this CMM experience is advantageous
  • The ability to compile and raise First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRS) is required
  • Must have a keen eye for detail, superb communication skills and a precise, meticulous approach

Quality Inspector / Engineer Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for improving the quality of work being produced within an existing project
  • You will be responsible for undertaking a wide variety of inspection duties including 1st off, patrol and final inspection of machined and assembled parts
  • The Quality Inspector / Engineer will be responsible for raising FAIRS, Failure Report Analysis, Non Conformance Reports as well as conducting investigations in to root cause for failure
  • You will be responsible for identifying areas for improvements within the existing manufacturing process as well as identifying any cost savings through effective identification of quality strategies
