Quality Engineer

Exciting new contract opportunity for a Quality Engineer based in Gosport, Hampshire.

3-6 Month Contract, Immediate start, attractive rates.

Following a recent expansion, our global maintenance, repair and overhaul client is currently looking to expand their team in Gosport with an experienced Quality Engineer who is a professional who understands the principles of the product and service quality evaluation and control.

As a Quality Engineer you will be able to:
-Identify the underlying processes in use in different areas of the business
-Ability to highlight poor practices and identify/suggest and implement improved methods of operation.
- Use and application of modern quality tools and techniques.
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and Database applications.
- Enthusiastic and confident
-Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be credible and act with integrity.
- Able to influence at appropriate levels within the business
-Ability to interpret related data to identify key issues and trends

Core/ Key Responsibilities:

- Undertake planned assurance activities including the performance process, product and compliance audits on both new product introductions as well aexisting capabilities.
- Perform proactive and regular operational activity surveillance promoting best practice as well as highlighting areas for improvement with a view to minimising the likelihood of quality escapes.
- Assist the Operations, Engineering and all Support functions in the quality system and product investigation cycle as deemed necessary by Quality Management with the ultimate aim to minimise the possibility of faulty products reaching the customer, and improving in-house quality measures.
- Ensure that any planned corrective / preventative actions are implemented within the desired timeframe and they are suitably robust to prevent recurrence of future similar and related quality escapes.
- Compilation of contract specific Quality Assurance documentation and Quality Management Plans and Procedures ensuring such comply with Regulatory Authority, Customer and Third Party requirements.
- Assisting the Quality Assurance department with the attainment and maintenance of all new product introduction and existing company approvals.
- Assist in the management of the Company Non-Conformance Reporting System (Q-Pulse).
- Support Company process / efficiency improvement events.
- Influence and support all areas of the business in delivering Customer satisfaction.
