In your role, you will:

- Identify laser metrology improvement opportunities, conduct new technology studies, and make optimization recommendations for management review.
- Responsible for the creation of laser measurement plans, post processing instructions, and standardizing laser metrology processes across the site.
- Post process or analyze laser metrology data and generate reports, for both aircraft data and tooling.
- Automate measurement post processing using scripts for recurring measurement activities.
- Organize and maintain updated aircraft data files on network drives and control access privileges to internal customers and stakeholders.
- Take ownership of supplier measurement data, create and analyze virtual join reports and provide recommendation to supplier compliance team and MRB.
- Work with production and tooling to provide required support during the use of laser metrology solutions on the final assembly line.
- Active participation in problem solving activities as required.
- Generate automation data packages from various suppliers.
- Work with information technology (IT) department in development of automated controls for accessing, backing-up and monitoring changes to all aircraft laser metrology systems used on the final assembly line.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You possess a Degree in Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- You possess metrology and applied GD&T experience.
- You have experience in using metrology software such as Spatial Analyzer, Polyworks, or similar.
- You have work knowledge of creating Macros, or writing scripts.
- You possess a solid understanding of engineering principles and ability to read blueprints.
- You have knowledge of applying lean manufacturing techniques.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and SAP.
