Description

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Quality Compliance & Planning Manger to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Sunnyvale, CA.

This position will be responsible for leading the Compliance and Planning functions within the Navigation & Maritime Systems Division at the Marine Systems site. As a key leader, partner and essential member of the Marine Systems MA leadership team, the Quality Compliance & Planning Manager will lead a high performing team responsible for facilitating a continuous improvement culture, focused on affordability, process effectiveness and efficiency, and will be

responsible for executing, monitoring and reporting on the quality of the products and services.

Qualified candidates will have demonstrated success leading program teams, interfacing with customers, controlling cost and schedule while achieving a high level of employee engagement. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of solving complex problems through systematic and objective evaluation of information resulting in effective communication, championing, and implementation of change with a diverse set of internal and external customers and suppliers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

*

Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and corrective action.

*

Assures compliance in quality, risk management, safety, corrective measures, and process improvement are in accordance with contractual Quality System requirements and drives forward early predictive indicators of risk.

*

Reviews customer quality specifications and provides analysis on impact to current quality system (quality specification reviews). Coordinates and issues contract specific quality requirements as needed.

Maintains ISO Certification and coordinates interface with ISO Registrar.

*

Maintains the Quality Manual and supporting documentation. Manages and conducts the required QMS Management

*

Review for ISO compliance.

*

Coordinates department proposal and cost estimating efforts.

*

Performs duties of site command media focal point, and provides support to internal organizations concerning the site quality system requirements, delegations, customer liaison for quality issues including government and customer quality audits, formal requests for quality corrective action, and campus quality management system as requested.

Manages the Sunnyvale Corrective Action Request (QCAR) and Quality Performance Feedback (QPF) programs.

*

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

- BS degree in a related STEM field and 6+ years of relevant industry experience.

- 5+ years of management or leadership experience.

- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.

- Demonstrated understanding of the program / product lifecycle in the areas of new business pursuit, design, receiving operations, inventory control, production control, product test & evaluation, reliability, root cause analysis, product sell-off, shipping and product support as they apply to quality.

- Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).

Preferred Qualifications:

- BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

- Familiarity with SAP.
