Join us as a Quality Assurance Technical Lead and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
As a Quality Assurance Technical Lead, you will coordinate the daily tasks of the assigned Quality Assurance Inspectors within the Assembly Line and Sub Assembly line operational Cells as it pertains to Bombardier Transportation Processes and Procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Schedule and assign daily inspection tasks to inspectors and monitor their effectiveness, percentage of completion, and overall performance;
- Monitor and report on production team performance from station to station;
- Coach, mentor and develop the inspectors to improve their ability to deliver value-added to their daily work and ensure compliance to work standards;
- Review and monitor current Bombardier Transportation standards and procedures;
- Engage in root cause and problem solving and analysis with other departments as required and make judgment decisions;
- Lead feedback and feedforward initiatives between stations and sites;
- Communicate and coordinate with on-site customer inspector representatives for daily inspection and audit activities, and participate in daily and weekly customer feedback meetings.
Qualifications
Key requirements:
- Technical degree;
- Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in electromechanical inspection;
- Knowledge of mechanical systems;
- Able to interpret blueprints, schematics and contract specifications;
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
