Get to know the role:

The Ground Experience Team are offering an exciting opportunity in a full time role that will be focussed on maximising quality outcomes and continuous improvement across the Virgin Australia Group of airports. You will work with operational Leaders to accurately diagnose root cause barriers to compliance and you will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive audit programme that will enhance operational compliance and ultimately, safety performance.

As a Ground Experience Quality Assessor You will build and maintain strong relationships and will influence, lead and support key stakeholders to ensure that Safety & Quality outcomes are achieved and required safety and compliance standards met, taking into consideration diverse cultural and operational requirements within the Virgin Australia Group.

Other responsibilities may include but are not limited too:

* Undertake safety review and risk assessment activities for the requirements of new Airport Inductions.

* Monitor and engage with airports for the delivery of significant project and change management activities.

* Advise and report on operational sustainability e.g. staff numbers and capability, facilities, IT, GSE, that is identified through routine quality assurance audits.

* Ensuring government and regulatory requirements are adhered to and understood

Let’s get to know you

The ideal candidate will have a well-developed understanding of the Australian aviation industry coupled with a working knowledge of airline operations.

What will make you successful as a Quality Assessor?

* Excellent communication and facilitation skills

* Several years’ experience in Aviation and Airline industry

* Airport operational and auditing experience

* Experience in an airport leadership role

* Highly developed research, planning and problem solving skills

* Ability to influence and engage Stakeholders in an operational airport environment

* Lead Auditor Qualifications

* Understanding of standards and safety management processes, theories and methodologies

* Knowledge of design and delivery methodologies of a scheduled audit programme in a regulated environment.
