Job Summary

The Electronic Systems Segment (ESS) provides a broad range of aerospace systems, security and detection systems, and pilot training.

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for procuring commodities, through development and implementation of commodity strategy plans. Other areas of responsibility include price negotiation, planning, contract review and negotiation.

You will demonstrate success by:

· Manage local and geographical dispersed locations’ purchases for the creation of Purchase Orders

· Maintaining supplier delivery and quality performance

· Locating product and services and negotiating the best possible prices with selected vendors and service providers

· Working with shipping and freight forwarder vendors to assure reasonable pricing, compliance with regulations and on time delivery of goods

· Managing the organization’s small business utilization program, to include identification of ‘small business’ qualified businesses, negotiation of contracts and purchases with small business to fulfill the division’s small business goals, while working closely with the L3 Link SBLO (Small Business Liaison Officer)

· Preparing and submitting the Small Business Report to the government on a bi-annual basis

· Receiving items into the purchasing software

· Creating, updating, and maintaining training guides for purchasing software applications. Compliance with and maintenance of purchasing related ISO processes and procedures.

· Manage L3 credit card purchase program & integration into L3 Arriba Purchasing system

· Acting as Customs/ Traffic Compliance Officer for Doss including implementation of required policies

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree with 5-8 years’ purchasing experience in defense contract industry or the equivalent in years’ of experience
