Job Role:
Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, the Progress Chaser is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of Engineering materials for an aircraft maintenance input, in order to achieve the scheduled aircraft return to service date.
You will assist Engineering Stores with the provisioning of materials in advance of each input, and support the Engineers through the allocation of components for each specific task, Work Order and ATA chapter. The Progress Chaser will attend and participate in meetings pre, post and during each maintenance input, providing regular updates to key stakeholders regarding delivery dates, material shortages and potential delivery issues.
In addition, you will ensure the timely despatch of materials to third party repair vendors, liaising with Repairs for regular updates on anticipated return dates.
The successful candidate will have experience within aviation engineering logistics, ideally within a Base Maintenance environment. You will be flexible, practical and approachable. Excellent attention to detail is essential to this role, as are strong written and verbal skills. You should be highly organised with the ability to process large amounts of data quickly.
