Job Summary

The ideal candidate will participate in the control of costs and schedules on projects requiring validated cost schedule control system.

Job Responsibilities

* Monitors and reports on monthly Estimate at Completions (EACs).= to ensure contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met for easy to moderate level programs.

* Good understanding of the financial side of Project management such as labor planning, contractor labor tracking, material expense, accruals, revenue recognition, cost and schedule control.

* Identify/quantify risks and opportunities to ensure the team and management are informed of the financial status and impact.

* Work with other members of the Project Leadership team (PLT) : engineering, PM, contracts, accounting, etc. to understand project resources, schedule issues, cost issues, contractual terms, billing, invoicing.

* Assist with Project Status Reviews (PSRs) on a monthly or quarterly basis – documentation requirements and updates to the Cost forecast model to ensure accurate EACs.

* Ability to handle multiple projects of various types (FP, T&M, etc) – budgeting, forecasting, etc

* Interacts with senior internal personnel on significant matters that require coordination between organizations.

* Develops solutions to a variety of problems of diverse scope that require data analysis demonstrating good analytical skills and good judgment in selecting the method and techniques for obtaining the solutions.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience. Finance, math or related field preferred.

* Three (3) years of experience with a financial background (estimates at completion (EAC)s, basic accounting principles, etc), Budgeting and forecasting, and basic project management skills.

* Understanding of the financial side of Project management such as labor planning, contractor labor tracking, material expense, accruals, revenue recognition, cost and schedule control.

* Ability to handle multiple projects of various types (FP, T&M, etc) – budgeting, forecasting, etc.

* Strong Excel skills required.
