Morson are looking for two Production Co-ordinators for an initial 6 months contract which will most likely get extended to work at a Major Aerospace company in Yeovil.

REPORTING TO - Material Services SLICT Manager

JOB PURPOSE

The SLICT Support Coordinator role is supporting the Production SLICT Manager with the Material Service element of a production order book for our Client to ensure successful milestones and aircraft deliveries are achieved within financial and working capital budgets.

KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Supporting the Production SLICT Manager in the planning and provision of appropriate material solutions to the production lines of the Yeovil site, ensuring solutions provided to mitigate risks which may impinge on customer on-time delivery and satisfaction.

25% of time - Deputise for the Production SLICT Manager in their absence which may include, but not be limited to the leading and developing of a team of Availability Officers based in the production lines of the Yeovil site,

Forge strong working relationships with customers, senior management & relevant stakeholders ensuring material delivery issues are well communicated and proposed solutions are discussed and managed appropriately

15% of time - Influencing and Managing key internal relationships with Procurement, Logistics provider, Programmes, Engineering and MRP. Ensuring priorities are set and managed in the material flow.

15% of time - Representing Material Services department at specified customer reviews for your programme(s) and where required deputising for the Production SLICT

Manager at other senior reviews.

5% of time - Prioritise and allocate assets for production within your own programme and, where applicable, agree priorities with Production SLICT Managers which may result in 5% assets being re-directed. In these cases ensure impact analysis is carried out and briefed to senior management, Company Internal.

5% of time - Escalate appropriately material issues impacting customer satisfaction to the Head of Material Services

Assist the Production SLICT Manager in providing accurate and timely inputs into the internal company CPR process and, where applicable, explain variance of spend versus forecast and root causes to senior management.

5% of time - Manage Direct Line Feed consumables for production lines including relationship management with supplier, demand profiling and reporting

You are responsible for taking reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work and to co- operate with managers, supervisors and others to enable the company to meet its statutory obligations for health, safety and environment.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

A degree or equivalent applicable experience in an Aerospace related subject.

Key Skills

Highly developed interpersonal and team leadership skills, required to form effective relationships with Customers, Prime contractor and Sub-Contractor networks.

The ability to interface and influence at senior level within the customer and industry domains.

Capable communicator both orally and in writing with refined interpersonal skills required, interfacing with all levels of industry and customer management structures.

Have developed problem solving techniques able to be applied in an operational environment.

In depth knowledge of the customers planning and operational methodologies, organisations and processes relating to material supply and inventory management.

Experience

Proven, successful track record in logistics management within an aerospace environment.

In-depth Knowledge of Logistic and Material supply techniques.

Experience of managing complex and demanding commercial arrangements where service delivery, inventory management and financial responsibility are key elements.
