Description

Reporting to the Director, Safety and Flight Operations (SFO) Products, and part of the IATA Training team, the Product Manager will be responsible for the on-going development and delivery of Civil Aviation, ANS, ATM & ATC training products.

He/she will be tasked with the subject matter knowledge, research and liaison with industry regulating bodies and stakeholders for the identification and development of new, innovative training products for the benefit of the aviation industry.

Responsibilities

* Manage a worldwide portfolio of over fifty training courses in the Civil Aviation, ANS, ATM & ATC portfolio and their related Diplomas;
* Design, develop, market and have delivered dedicated Civil Aviation, ANS, ATM & ATC courses in line with IATA, ICAO and other regulatory bodies’ and stakeholders’ recommendations and best practices;
* Work with IATA Training and relevant SFO subject matter experts, to develop new learning products and enhance existing ones, including e-learning;
* Key account and stakeholder management within IATA and externally with ICAO, Eurocontrol, EASA, FAA, ATNS, Airservices Australia, CANSO and others;
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with all relevant industry stakeholders, as well as with internal IATA staff that are critical for the portfolio;
* Contribute to global market research analysis, develop business plans and assist with the development of marketing/sales plans;
* Manage the existing Civil Aviation, ANS, ATM & ATC faculty and work to enrich the current pool of industry subject matter experts for the benefit of IATA customers and stakeholders;
* Manage and control the portfolio budget, achieve yearly financial targets and work actively on cost and revenue control.

Qualifications and Skills

* University degree in education, business administration, instructional technology, or a technical air transport related field, or equivalent experience;
* Minimum ten years’ experience in the Air Navigation Services/Civil Aviation environment including international experience in business pertaining to ICAO, EASA, Eurocontrol, FAA, IATA and other industry stakeholder bodies;
* Minimum ten years in a financially accountable product/project/management position;
* Strong analytical, organizational and diplomatic skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders/projects simultaneously, in a multicultural environment whilst maintaining high attention to detail and meeting deadlines;
* Negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal professionally and with integrity with customers, suppliers and contacts at an intermediate and senior level;
* Excellent PC skills, particularly MS Office Programs;
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with developed editing and proof reading ability. Knowledge of other languages (i.e. French, Spanish) would be an asset.
