Job Description
CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Principal Database Engineer with an advanced level of experience in managing and developing Microsoft SQL Databases. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization on Fort Bragg, NC.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users and will report directly to the Systems Lead.
Specifically, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all databases on multiple DoD networks. Additionally, the PDBE will be responsible for assisting in database design and changes to include creating databases, triggers, queries and reports in collaboration with other systems engineers and software developers. Additionally, the PDBE will be responsible for creating and implementing security policies, configuring and maintaining SQL database replication including clusters, conducting daily backups, importing/exporting data to other systems, reporting, monitoring, troubleshooting, and directly interfacing with the client.
Required:
* Be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
* 10+ years of experience managing and developing SQL databases
* 8+ years of experience maintaining and managing database servers
* Must be willing/able to work OCONUS for minimum of one year
* 5 or more years’ experience in management of projects/tasks similar in scope and requirements to current program
* Must have experience with MS SQL and clustering of that technology
* Experience using MS SQL to integrate data sources from various systems into a common data warehouse for reporting
* Must have experience with relational databases and their integration with SharePoint
* Knowledge of systems development lifecycle, logical data modeling techniques, and entity relationship modeling
* Experience in writing complex queries
* Experience implementing backup routines
* Skill and experience using MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access, and Outlook
* Security + Certification
