We are looking for an experienced agile delivery manager to be based in our growing London office providing a rare opportunity to come into a very successful business where there is ample room for you to bring your experience and ability to drive significant performance improvements across teams and the organisation in the technology space. We are looking for someone who can make an immediate impact in how we deliver solutions and outcomes for our travellers and be part of our high growth journey.

You will be an experienced agile delivery manager or coach, an authority on leading change programs organisationally, possessing an in-depth knowledge of what it takes to deliver scalable software solutions with the ability to drive significant step change in effectiveness and efficiencies. The best will have been instrumental in raising levels of knowledge and self-awareness across teams, leaving behind a legacy of operational excellence and accelerated self-improvement.

What you’ll be doing:

* Championing and embedding the use of both qualitative and quantitative methods to maintain a view of companywide issues and opportunities. Helping our team select appropriate actions to improve Skyscanner’s speed of delivery

* Bringing your experience and best practice to drive the effective delivery of challenging objectives within a critical area of Skyscanner.

* You will bring an agile and entrepreneurial mind-set to identify and deliver effective, sustainable improvements to delivery and operational challenges. After taking an empirical and empathetic approach to change management you will then work with others with similar issues rolling out and embedding company wide and at scale.

* Embracing and developing our culture of continuous improvement. You will drive an awareness of team health from both qualitative sources and well understood delivery metrics.

* Having experience and a track-record in applying a range of Lean, TOC and Agile practices in varying situations. Your colleagues will call on you for mentoring on complex operational issues. You will share this knowledge through mentoring and impactful training which you will develop with others.

* You champion the adoption of approaches used across the industry

* Fostering strong relationships with senior leader and support them and their teams in translating high level goals into smaller measurable goals. After which you can mentor individuals and teams to aligns with these goals, generating commitment and engagement.

* You are adept at influencing and managing senior stakeholders. You will help them understand systemic issues, getting their support for improvement initiatives

* You can coach and facilitate Subject Matter Experts across various disciplines, enhancing their success

* Building empathy and mutual understanding, you can apply appropriate approaches to establish strong foundations for successful teams

Qualifications

Must have:

* Track record managing, or responsible for the operational process of, delivering software across one or more teams in a fast-moving tech company, or equivalent

* Experience delivering organisational change, demonstrating an increase agile maturity and performance with the ability to instigate and lead autonomously.

* A deep understanding and demonstrated experience of coaching, mentoring and applying agile and lean theory and techniques

* Strong analytical skills, comfortable using data to frame and shape a story or solution

* Proven technical and team leadership

* Delivery focused

* Excellent collaborative and communication skills

* Successful track record in delivering and embedding change initiatives

Preferred:

* A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science, Sciences, Engineering

* Experience applying Theory of Constraints

* Agile coaching experience

* Previous experience in the Travel sector

* Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

* A good understanding and appreciation of emerging technology and the internet economy
