Job Summary

Will be the liaison between a targeted program and the RCI Material & Supply organization and will be instrumental in setting strategies for the supply base and potential contract manufacturers to enable program success.

Job Responsibilities

* Development, execution and management of strategic supply chain and distribution systems with respective partner companies in order to ensure intellectual property is controlled and protected.

* Manages complex supply chain engineering programs from concept to successful deployment for the life cycle of the product.

* Utilizing the Cost Reduction Quality Initiative (CRQI) process, for continuous product improvement with the focus on cost management, quality and producibility improvements.

* Develop and build analytical models and tools to simulate the effect of operational/strategic decision making.

* Develop tools and/or processes to integrate point or systemic solutions to achieve goals and objectives.

* Leverage Material & Supply organization in support of strategic procurement initiatives.

* Ensure that the correct technology selection for the life-cycle of the product being produced on the program is accomplished. Failure to achieve this can have significant impact on costs associated with product re-designs or significant life-time buys if the technology does not align with the product life-cycle.

* Develop and implement successful supplier risk mitigation plans to avoid risks that can have a major impact to overall program cost and schedule.

* Meet material cost target objectives of the program Bill of Material (BOM) by developing supply chain strategies that align with and enable robust solutions at competitive cost. Overall program financial business case is dependent on this.

* Oversee development of sourcing strategies for components, subcontracted items, and Contract Manufacturers.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience

Candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and experience working with Collins Aerospace policies and procedures
