The Role:

A leading provider of design and manufacturing services for the Aerospace sector, are now looking for a Planning and Production Engineer to join their team in Greater Manchester.

Responsibilities:

• Will produce engineering planning that enable the production team to manufacture the parts in an efficient manner.
• The candidate must be able to understand the engineering data pack and the capability of the company (training given on the latter).
• Each operation must be given a time that is obtained from the proposal made to the customer (cost estimate).
• Attend meetings with management team to provide progress updates and identify production issues and how they could be streamlined.

Experience and Skills:

• Relevant experience within a Planning and Production environment.
• Background in Aerospace Engineering / Manufacturing.
• Sheet Metal Experience.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes would be desirable.
