Eligibility Criteria:

*

Should be Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineers from premier institutes – BE / B.Tech (IIT or similar).

*

Fresher or with 1 to 2 years relevant experience.

*

Should have good communication skills and flair for teaching.

*

Should have a pleasing personality and excellent interpersonal skills.

*

Should be a computer literate.

*

Should be capable of delivering good customer service to the internal and external customers of the airline.

Job Profile:

Training Tasks:

*

Conducting initial endorsement, recurrent, extended refresher and transition training of Pilots / Flight Dispatchers.

*

Conducting AIC 02 / 2007 briefing for Expat Pilots.

*

Preparation of training material for conduct of various performance training courses.

*

Development of newly inducted Performance Engineers.

*

Studying Operations Manual, AFM and various other performance related documents to update performance training material.

Operations Engineering Tasks:

*

To establish database of all airfields, to visit airfields to verify the obstacle details.

*

To publish take-off and landing weight analysis charts.

*

To establish one engine inoperative take off / go-around procedures for affected airfields.

*

To monitor performance deterioration of the aircraft from the flight data and carrying out performance observation flights in order to establish performance bias factors for OFPs.

*

To establish and monitor reduced thrust carried out by the fleet aircraft.

*

To develop in-house software for automation of various operations engineering analysis functions like reduced thrust monitoring, fuel budget, rationalisation of flight schedules. To develop software with the help of external vendors in automation of flight data capture.

*

To help issue instructions to Pilots / Flight Dispatchers on all performance related matters.

*

To resolve issues related to weight and balance of the fleet aircraft.

*

To develop policies / training material for special operations viz. EDTO, NAT-MNPSA, RVSM, PBN, De-icing / Anti-icing, etc.

*

To support EFB in B737 & B777 fleet, LPC in A330 fleet and SPS in ATR fleet.

*

To finalise policies with regard to LIDO flight planning system.

*

Study and advice fuel tankering, whenever and wherever feasible.

*

To assist Finance Department in planning fuel and time budget.

*

To establish procedures for maximising fuel economy.

*

To evaluate new routes and airports.

*

To evaluate new aircraft for induction.

*

To liaise with manufacturer, regulator and other airlines on all performance related issues.

*

Any other tasks as assigned by VP – Flt Ops Support services.
